So while this isn't necessarily an opportunity for fans to save money, it does offer a little convenience for those who subscribe to Prime and Crunchyroll separately, allowing the two to be billed as part of one Prime membership and for Crunchyroll shows to be streamed via the Prime Video apps.Ĭrunchyroll's addition to Prime Video comes a week after Crunchyroll launched a free 24/7 ad-supported anime channel in the US on LG Channels, Roku TV, Vizio WatchFree+, and Amazon's Freevee channel. Those prices, it should be noted, are the same as a separate Crunchyroll membership. Those who subscribe to the Mega Fan tier at launch will be able to download any anime title for offline viewing, with 'additional non-video benefits' to be added to the platform soon. Both tiers allow you to watch popular anime - like Spy x Family, Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, One Piece, and more - ad-free shortly after airing in Japan. Prime members can choose between two Crunchyroll membership tiers: Fan ($7.99/month) or Mega Fan ($9.99/month).
The two companies announced Tuesday that they entered a global agreement for Prime Video to distribute Crunchyroll, now available for Prime members in the U.S., U.K., Canada, and Sweden, and other territories will gain access throughout 2024.
